Introduction

Bujinkan Oostkamp is a member of the international Bujinkan Dojo. This is an international martial arts organization, founded in 1972 bij Dr. Masaaki Hatsumi in Nodashi, Japan. Dr. Hatsumi, who is up to this day still the soke of Bujinkan Dojo founded his dojo in order to transmit techniques from 9 different Ryuja, or traditional schools, which he himself inherited from his sensei, Toshitsugu Takamatsu.

Within these nine Ryuha, three schools focus on ninjutsu techniques, the other six are historical samurai schools. Training includes fixed techniques, or kata, variations, or henka, and combat, or randori. We train in both unarmed & armed fighting techniques.

The dojo in Oostkamp was founded in 1992 en is currently run by a small group of dedicated volunteers. Training sessions are led by shidoshi Christophe Timbremont & shidoshi Dirk Desmet, both of which have been a Bujinkan member for over 20 years.

If you want to start training with us, or if you are already a member of Bujinkan Dojo and want to stop by and train while traveling, you are always welcome.
